In my opinion the key messages within this weeks reading was to demonstrate the importance for PR Practitioners to embrace such values as trust, honesty and community.
It also stresses the key elements for the continued operation of a business lies with good internal and community relations.
Our Group work objective is to construct a PR plan for the Hunter Valley Wine Country Tourism. The information gathered from the PRIA case studies are useful and can be applied to our group work. They are two primary examples of crisis management plans and clearly outline the process and steps taken to achieve the plans overall goals and objectives.
The Zawawi reading is also interesting and will help with the development of our task as it clearly outlines the tools and channels of communication and what each are best used for.
The readings made me think more about PR theory and practise as they again focused on the important aspects that surround the PR profession.
Like last week, it stressed the importance for healthy relationships with an organisations publics and the impacts these relationships can have, both positive and negative.
The case studies in particular drew my focus to the PR profession in that they were two practical examples of PR plans, depicting the actual steps to be taken in order to accomplish actual goals and objectives.

I agree. I feel the case studies were particularly helpful in being able to visualise how a Strategic plan should look and how it is used to achieve an organisation's goals. I think we should use these case studies as a reference for our assignment.
Bec,
I agree with both you and Sarah that the case studies were helpful tools for us to learn more about PR plans and how they are actually carried out, and then measured and evaluated.
It is also good that you pointed out that, like the reading noted, trust, honesty and community are important themes in PR.
Great job with the blog!
